| Named after an area in St. John's, Newfoundland where the original band members came from, Rawlins Cross was formed in 1988. The band has greatly matured since then, and are now, arguably, the best band from Canada's east cost. (I know, taste is relative, and the east coast has also produced some outstanding individual performers). |

Singer Joey Kitson was a later addition to Rawlins Cross. He booms out lyrics with a powerful voice. Often, however, he steps back and lets the other members pursue wild and danceable instrumental grooves. |
